The title of my review is most definitely the word that our family used throughout our weekend stay at The Samuel Aurand House! First of all, what a hospitable Inn keeper! I had booked with John months prior to our stay.

(which I suggest so you don’t miss out) Leading up to the weekend of our arrival, John connected with me to find out arrival time of everyone in our party for taking the chill out of the rooms on a cooler spring weekend. How thoughtful.

We certainly could not have been more pleased with our stay at John’s very clean, warm, charming, welcoming country Inn. I booked four of his five rooms for my immediate and extended family for a wedding weekend that was held in Mifflinburg. Absolutely all four of the rooms were equally lovely. Three of us, including myself, were in the extremely well appointed suite where we were able to all congregate at different points of the weekend. Two lovely breakfasts were enjoyed in John’s inviting dining room, along with a wealth of conversation with John over coffee, fresh slices of fruit, bagels, and freshly baked Amish blueberry pie (the first morning) and shoofly cake. (the second morning ) The first morning my husband asked if he had cream cheese, which he didn’t, and the second morning next to the bagels there was cream cheese!

John’s Inn is a place that one will not forget having stayed at, and it contributed to what was a perfect family wedding weekend in Mifflinburg/ New Berlin.

We stayed at this quaint B&B, with a college group, for a youth convention in the area, last January. Our group had the whole B&B to ourselves, and everything was perfect! The rooms were beautiful, neat, and clean; and the breakfast was wonderful. John was so friendly, hospitable, and kind! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I highly recommend the Samuel Aurand House B&B!!

We had an enjoyable stay while we were up for the Christkindl Market. Our room was warm and inviting; clean and well-kept. John is a wonderful host.

We have been staying with John for 4 years for Parents Weekend and now it will be graduation already! On my 15 minutes from campus, it is a great place to stop and relax for the night. Clean and peaceful as you would expect of a well run B&B. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Samuel Aurand Suite and it was wonderful. It was so homey, clean and had everything we could want or need. John is a wonderful host and has a great breakfast!! If we’re up in PA again, we will definitely stay there. Make sure you check out his lovely gift shop

We stayed in the Susquehanna Room. Beautifully furnished with a large, 2 person Jetted tub. Water was hot…A/C was cold. Couldnt have asked for more!. John is a great host , with much knowledge about the history of the Inn, as well as the surrounding area. I would recommend the Samuel Aurand House to anyone!

My wife and I stayed at the Samuel Aurand House B&B (The Susquehanna Room) for the weekend. We were in the area for the Mifflinburg Christkindl Market. The B&B is charming, cozy, and very welcoming. Since it was the Christmas time the house was immaculately decorated. John is a fabulous host and very attentive. He is a charm to talk to and very knowledgeable of the area and its history. For anyone considering staying at this B&B we highly recommend it! If in the area again it will certainly be where we stay.

We stayed at the Samuel Aurand House during the Mifflinburg Christmas Market in the suite and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The rooms were beautifully decorated and cozy. John thought of everything that you would need to have a comfortable stay. The inn looked especially lovely with its tasteful holiday decorations. John was the perfect host: helpful, friendly, and courteous. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned for my husband’s birthday last week. This time we stayed in the Susquehanna room and found it to be charming and welcoming with its antique pieces mixed with modern conveniences. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace after a cool day. John provided a nice selection of breakfast foods with fruit, cereal, muffins, and bagels. This B&B is definitely worth a return visit.

This was our first visit to New Berlin and The Samuel Aurand B&B was wonderful! John was extremely accommodating and such a friendly host. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The Emporium is a charming addition in a quiet town! We will be back for another visit in the future.

We did not want to leave! John makes you feel welcome from the moment you enter his beautifully decorated (and clean!) home. A delicious and conversation-filled breakfast is a perfect start to the day, and the relaxing air-tub and fireplace is the perfect finish. Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality, John!
